Hi! I'm Natalie!

I am a Mum of four beautiful children aged between 1 and 26 years and I am also an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW), Registered Play Therapist (APTA), Adult Therapist, Professional Supervisor and EMDR Therapist based in Lismore, NSW, Australia. 

I am an extremely passionate Child Centered Play Therapist and am honoured to provide Play Therapy for children through my Private Practice in Lismore, Grounded in Growth www.groundedingrowth.org  

I have worked in the Social Work and Therapy fields for over 20 years now and am honoured to have been a Child Centered Play Therapist for over 16 years. I have worked in primary schools, non profit organisations and privately during these years and continue to love working with children, families and also with adults. 

I love children's picture books and always have! One of my favourite things to do as a child was read books and I love reading to my own children also. 

My hope and vision is that Ash Goes to Play Therapy will assist children in learning more about Play Therapy and therefore also help them feel safe accessing therapeutic support through Play Therapy.

My sincere hope is that together we can all help children to be seen, heard and understood and that through the distribution of Ash Goes to Play Therapy and sharing also of what Play Therapy is, more children will access support and the beautiful and special sharings Play Therapy has to offer. 

Ash Goes to Play Therapy is my very first children's book and I'm delighted to finally be able to share it with you, children and the world.
